As your Port Commissioner, Bob Iyall brings proven leadership, deep roots in Thurston County, and a strong commitment to transparency, economic growth, and environmental responsibility. A Nisqually Tribal Elder and experienced executive, Bob is seeking re-election to continue building on the progress made during his first term.

About Bob

Bob Iyall is a retired 45-year member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union and a lifelong resident of Thurston County. He served as CEO of Medicine Creek Enterprise Corporation (MCEC), where he successfully oversaw business operations spanning retail, construction, hospitality, and telecommunications. Bob has held leadership roles on corporate and nonprofit boards, bringing a track record of integrity, accountability, and strategic vision to everything he does.

Budd Inlet Cleanup

Advance and implement the remediation of contaminated sediment to restore marine and shoreline health.

Habitat Conservation Plan

Complete the HCP to unlock economic opportunity at the New Market Industrial Campus while protecting sensitive species.

Destination Waterfront Master Plan

Fulfill the Port’s Vision 2050 goals by redeveloping Olympia’s waterfront into a vibrant, sustainable destination for all.
